- As a 1956 graduate of Colgate from which I also obtained a master's degree, I developed an interest in watercolor painting upon retirement from the faculty of the State University of New York at Brockport in 1996. This interest was greatly encouraged by my daughter Janet, also a Colgate graduate, who sent me the painting materials needed to take up this fascinating leisure pursuit at the time of my retirement.
